RavenDB is a technology company behind a high-performance NoSQL database built for developers and large-scale, complex systems. The company focuses on creating an intelligent, reliable developer experience, offering elegant solutions to challenging data problems while speaking to forward-thinking, innovation-driven teams.
Rook, RavenDB’s mascot, began as a vector-based character representing the brand’s developer-first values. I led the creative direction of transforming Rook into a 3D character, translating its intelligence, curiosity, and approachability into a three-dimensional form while preserving its original identity. Working closely with a 3D designer, the goal was to balance playful energy with professional credibility - creating a character that feels both friendly and technically grounded, much like RavenDB itself.
